Network News Central values diversity. We have several initiatives in place for our employees from all backgrounds.
Employee Resources Group
Our company values our Employee Resources Groups and all that they provide to our employees. Employee Resource Groups allow individual employees to form diverse, personal groups within the workplace. They provide support for career development in diverse groups and contribute to personal development in the work environment. These groups allow individuals to join together as one based on their shared life experiences and characteristics.
Diversity Workshops
Our company works to frequently implement Diversity Workshops in our training program. Diversity Workshops provide a place for employees to explore issues related to diversity in the workplace while learning to communicate well with others about this topic and others. Our company realizes that in order to work effectively together we need to practice the belief that every individual is unique and that those unique qualities and characteristics should be celebrated. We believe that harmony will only result if we all embody this belief.
Cultural Appreciation
Our company takes pride in recognizing the importance of celebrating cultural differences. We believe celebrating these differences will bring a sense of diversity and inclusion to the work environment. Allowing employees to express and celebrate their culture will result in mutual understanding among coworkers about culture as well as offer a space for each employee to feel safe. We work to recognize cultural differences with the hope of contributing to motivation and empowerment in our employees’ work.
Mentoring and Retention Program
Through our formal Mentoring Program we aim to adequately prepare our incoming or newly hired employees for success. Each employee receives help and support from an experienced and knowledgeable employee within in their department. This program specifically targets ethnic and gender minorities within the organization, to ensure equal access to information and company resources. We believe this program helps employees to be adequately prepared to excel in the workplace.
